To add the Album Art at the Side Panel you need to right click inside the Side Panel.

(not inside the playlist, inside an empty area on the Side Panel)

To create a toggle area for Side Panel, check its TAB options inside column ui options.

Do not give it up.

Yeah  ... I have trying to customise my Foobar for the last 2-3 days. Thanks to you and this thread. :)

Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting

That is the menu that opens when you right click the playlist area.

Try to right click the playlist switcher title on the side panel. Normally it would open the desired menu like in the screenshot.

And yes, thats where you enable the toggle area for the Side Panel.

Foobar must be maximized or you need to click on the side panel limit to toggle.

Ohh.. Got it to the left hand side.. Yes, I dint know that we will have to right-click the playlist name... Now in that three codes that you gave in the previous page , I got the two and third one only. I have default.png in my componets folder as per the code, now I was able to see that png in my top side of foobar, now I cant see the same here now.

Abt the visualizations, can I have any other one rather than spectrum analyzer? How to add them?

And abt the Album list, I got that .dll and made it to come also, what is the use of it?

Can I get other visualisation styles other  than the spectrum thing..

foo_vis_simple_spectrum

foo_vis_projectM

personally i use the panel version of foo_vis_simple_spectrum it looks decent and doesnt seem to use any more resources than without it.

Mind sharing this amazing setup..???? can't get mine to look like that.

It's a mod of Navigator Suite that I made, with a custom colour theme acedriver posted up a few pages back.

// various symbols used in display
$puts(theme_dark,0)

// foreground colors
$puts(standard_color,$rgb(95,96,87))
$puts(special_color,$rgb(255,255,255))
$puts(playing_color,$rgb(160,199,156))
$puts(borders_color,$rgb(160,160,160))

// background colors
$puts(bg_color,$rgb(220,218,208))
$puts(bg_color2,$rgb(231,230,224))

// various symbols used in display
$puts(symbol_rating,● )

And here are the buttons if you want them:

foo_vis_simple_spectrum doesn't work in my Foobar, dont know why.. that's a old thing so it's not even uploaded in the location specified. Can you show me the screenshot as to how it looks?

For more visualisations:

http://pelit.koillismaa.fi/plugins/visualization.php

Your foobar looks good as well. And abt that visualisation, I dint like both of them (I mean simple spectrum is better).

By the way, I can see that Flame visualisation and it looks as the same as foo_vis_simple_spectrum visualisation that you have got. Is that the same thing? How to make it come to the left hand side?

What's the use of album art? Igot that .dll in my components directory,I can load the same in my Foobar window also, bit what's the use, we have playlist and all that info, why Album Art?

yes thats the panel version of foo_uie_simple_spectrum-0.1.6 once its in your components directory and you have restarted foobar right click in your sidebar and under visualizations there should be an option for it. i guess album art i like to see the cover of a album or ep im playing if foobar happens to be maximized and due to the resolution i run at i can still have the vis and album art as well as a decent ammount of room for the album list so why not.

2 questions concerning the mass tagger...

1 - i am using Mp3tag (a freeware MP3 tagging prog) and editing my mp3 tags that way, but when they show up in foobar, then tracknumbers are not the same as when I put them in...

and if this cannot be fixed...

2 - is there any way to automatically add a "0" before single digits when "Guessing the track #" in the mass tagger??

No, I cant see that. I see simple spectrum and ProjectM. Dont know why.

Ok, alright, got it

how do I put my album list panel *above* the playlist, ie horizontally in the status bar rather than vertically in the sidebar?

It only gives me the album art option in panels up there

EDIT - I found this:

"How do I get panels above the playlist?"

You can add panels with a configurable minimum height to the toolbar area by first enabling the ?List all toolbars? in Prefs/Columns UI/Other. Then, you can insert the panel as a toolbar. You will have to then adjust the panel?s minimum height in its configuration. As you can imagine this is a bit of a hack; it will not be necessary in version 0.1.3.

but my version is 0.8.3 ...is there a better way to do this?

drgrudge what version of foo_ui_columns are you using? you need atleast 0.1.2 alpha 4 for the panel version also do you have foo_vis_manager.dll? i didnt think i did but it must have eiter come with the installer or one of the componets i use, if you dont have it and cant find it i could upload it. i just realized what you meant by the flame vis (first one on the third party site) no its not that, while theres some good stuff there like g-force and whitecap iirc they cant run in panels and use a lot of cpu power so are not really my sort of thing.

I dont know what version I have, but that foo_ui_columns is the one which acedriver gave link some 2 pages ago. Yes I have foo_vis_manager.dll in my components folder.

High CPU usage components and plugins are out of my Foobar as I have a old PC so we can forget the same.

    • Anthropic launches Claude Fable 5, a state-of-the-art AI model that beats OpenAI's GPT-5.5 by Pradeep Viswanathan Back in April, Anthropic announced Claude Mythos Preview, a frontier model with state-of-the-art coding capabilities. Due to the cybersecurity implications that would occur due to the availability of such a powerful model, Anthropic made it available to only a select set of companies around the world. The company's plan was to prepare appropriate guardrails before releasing such a powerful model to everyone. Now, after nearly two months, Anthropic announced Claude Fable 5, its most capable AI model yet for general users. The company also announced Claude Mythos 5, the same underlying model as Fable 5, but with safeguards lifted, making it more suitable for selected cybersecurity and biology use cases. Claude Fable 5 sits a tier above its Opus models and it beats most other generally available models across areas including software engineering, knowledge work, vision, scientific research, and long-running autonomous tasks. To prevent model misuse, when Claude Fable 5 detects certain requests related to cybersecurity, biology, chemistry, or model distillation, the request will be routed to the Claude Opus 4.8 model. Anthropic claims that these safeguards trigger in less than 5% of sessions on average. However, for large organizations working on critical software, Claude Mythos 5 can be availed through Project Glasswing. Later, Anthropic has plans to expand access through a broader trusted access program. As you can notice in the benchmarks above, Fable 5 and Mythos 5 are state-of-the-art on most key AI benchmarks and they are well ahead of OpenAI's frontier model, GPT-5.5. For example, Fable 5 is the new state-of-the-art model for vision tasks. Also, Mythos 5 has the strongest cybersecurity capabilities of any model in the world. Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5 are priced at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens, which is less than half the price of Claude Mythos Preview. Another big change is that Anthropic is making a change to the way they handle business customer data for both Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models. The company will now require 30-day retention for all traffic on both first- and third-party surfaces. Anthropic promises that it won't use the data to train Claude models, instead it will use it against complex and novel attacks. Claude Fable 5 is available today on the Claude API and consumption-based Enterprise plans. It is also included at no extra cost for Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise customers from today through June 22. After that, users on those plans will need usage credits to continue using Fable 5, unless Anthropic extends the included access window based on capacity. Developers can access Fable 5 through the Claude API using the claude-fable-5 model name.
