Click on the Components menu then database search. There might be a plugin to put that on a panel somewhere, but I'm not really sure.

$if2(%album artist%,%artist%)$num(%date%,4)%album%$num(%tracknumber%,2)

hey

this is the way foobar sorts my songs. im really happy about it because it sorting by name, and the albums are sorted by year. the problem is with singletracks that have %date% tag. if theres a single that is date between 2 albums - he seperates them. how can i sort all the singletracks to come before the albums without removing the %date% tag.

by the way, every singletrack i have has %singletrack% = 1, if it can help.

thanx.

Toaster

This one don't work at all.

Im not very much at home with foobar, I just use it to listen music on but I would like those two plugins to work. :)

Cheers

Something went wrong with toaster indeed, i cant config it at all anymore in my foobar 0.8.3 aswell.

$if2(%album artist%,%artist%)$if(%singletrack%,0,1)$num(%date%,4)%album%%disc%$num(%tracknumber%,2)

here's my sorting code. just added %disc% aswell for easier double album display ;)

I have quite a lot of albums with various artists, when I use this sorting string the albums with various artists gets split up. Is it possible to get this to work with various artist albums? I would ideally like those albums to be sorted by album name.

hmm, it should work .. as long as you use the %album artist% tag.. which is the standard one i believe.

I tag mine with %album artist% = Various Artist (or whichever string you want), and %artist% and %title% are the normal ones for the track.

I do use the album artist tag, although I only use it if the album needs it.

i.e. I have a few dance albums which have multiple cd's and one is mixed by Judge Jules and one by Pete Tong so I use their names in the album artist tag.

Using all the sorting strings I have found messes everything up because is splits the cd order up by putting one cd in the p's and one in the j's and because I don't use the album artist tag for compolation cd's the whole album gets slpit up.

I would ideally like them to be sorted by artist (with artist like the beatles under B not T) but albums which have VA- in the folder name sorted by album name rather than artist then have the albums sorted by album year then sorted by disc then the tracks in order.

I have no idea if that is even possible, I would assume it is but I have no idea how to do it.

I would ask in the foobar forums but for some reason they won't let me register with any webmail so I'm a bit stuck as I all the email adddresses I have are webmail addresses. :D

It depend on the columnsui configuration you are using, my foobar used alot when I was using the navigator suite config but since I started using azreal again it's back to almost zero again.

I was wondering if there was a plugin for Foobar that adds like a "Send to" or something similar feature to Foobar.

e.g I have a flash drive that I want to copy musinc onto, but I dont want to have to search for the file in my music folder. I would like to right click on the song in Foobar, and copy the song to another folder. Is there a plugin that does this?

Right click > Open Directory

Will open up Windows Explorer to the directory containing the file and even select that song for you. Then you can simply right-click and send to wherever you want.

    • Anthropic launches Claude Fable 5, a state-of-the-art AI model that beats OpenAI's GPT-5.5 by Pradeep Viswanathan Back in April, Anthropic announced Claude Mythos Preview, a frontier model with state-of-the-art coding capabilities. Due to the cybersecurity implications that would occur due to the availability of such a powerful model, Anthropic made it available to only a select set of companies around the world. The company's plan was to prepare appropriate guardrails before releasing such a powerful model to everyone. Now, after nearly two months, Anthropic announced Claude Fable 5, its most capable AI model yet for general users. The company also announced Claude Mythos 5, the same underlying model as Fable 5, but with safeguards lifted, making it more suitable for selected cybersecurity and biology use cases. Claude Fable 5 sits a tier above its Opus models and it beats most other generally available models across areas including software engineering, knowledge work, vision, scientific research, and long-running autonomous tasks. To prevent model misuse, when Claude Fable 5 detects certain requests related to cybersecurity, biology, chemistry, or model distillation, the request will be routed to the Claude Opus 4.8 model. Anthropic claims that these safeguards trigger in less than 5% of sessions on average. However, for large organizations working on critical software, Claude Mythos 5 can be availed through Project Glasswing. Later, Anthropic has plans to expand access through a broader trusted access program. As you can notice in the benchmarks above, Fable 5 and Mythos 5 are state-of-the-art on most key AI benchmarks and they are well ahead of OpenAI's frontier model, GPT-5.5. For example, Fable 5 is the new state-of-the-art model for vision tasks. Also, Mythos 5 has the strongest cybersecurity capabilities of any model in the world. Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5 are priced at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens, which is less than half the price of Claude Mythos Preview. Another big change is that Anthropic is making a change to the way they handle business customer data for both Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models. The company will now require 30-day retention for all traffic on both first- and third-party surfaces. Anthropic promises that it won't use the data to train Claude models, instead it will use it against complex and novel attacks. Claude Fable 5 is available today on the Claude API and consumption-based Enterprise plans. It is also included at no extra cost for Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise customers from today through June 22. After that, users on those plans will need usage credits to continue using Fable 5, unless Anthropic extends the included access window based on capacity. Developers can access Fable 5 through the Claude API using the claude-fable-5 model name.
