well..

it's more like

$tab()$upper(%title%/$rgb(some,colour,here)%artist%)$tab()

background colour too match bottom-most colour of titlebar (although in my screenshot it is slightly off :p )

Arial for the font, size 14 i think (i've changed my layout since then), white

trackinfo panel is edgeless, so that it seemlessly blends with titlebar

:)

New layout in progress.

Like it quite a bit more then your previous ones and like the implemention of topdownjimmys(?) last played code. Think I might end up using something simular to your look...if not actually yours when/if you post it :shiftyninja:

I cant get it to work... using 0.9.1, replaced the 33kb file from that web, for a 1xxkb in my folder and i just cant get it to work... cant insert it as a panel (yes, show everything is checked for the panel things) and nor i can configure it on preferences :(

Still in progress. Didn't like the playlist dropdown, browser combination, so went back to my usual playlist switcher.

Oh, foobar, how I love the endless diverstion from work you provide with your infinite configuration possibilities.

hey brumal, how do you get the playlist with songs that have never been played?

how do i make an auto playlist, what is the difference between that and a normal playlist?

Auto playlists are like smart playlists in itunes. They automatically update with changes to your media library.

You may need to download the autoplaylist plugin here http://foobar2000.org/components/index.html.

Once that's installed, you should have an option under the Library menu for autoplaylists.

How do you get the playlist looking like that i.e. album, artist etc all grouped into one neat box next to all the tracks for that album?

EDIT: Nevermind, been so long since I've played with my playlist setup, I didn't realise all I had to do was apply an album-view config.

However how do you get the browser list at the side looking so nice?

And is there any way of making single tracks look nice with the album-view (i.e. not just having a gaping blank where the album, artist etc info should be?)

Thanks!

Hi all, I'm someone who's switched players quite a few times. Foobar now matches my needs PERFECTLY. Small memory footprint, simple yet customisable, and actually the best way for me (personally) to view my files - by directory.

Right now as you may have guessed I am running a basic install, with just Columns UI (absolutely essential, of course :)) and pretty much the stuff that comes in the installer. I'd say I'm a pretty advanced PC user, just not with foobar (just to let you know)...yet. Whilst writing this I've downloaded foo browser too.

What I'm aiming for with my foobar setup is a light blue-type feel, maybe with dark blue sections. I'll try and figure as much as I can out from existing documentation, but if not hopefully you lot can give me a bit of help with it.

I guess this is a kind of heads up that I will be about.

One last thing....any tips you can give me with customisation or anything else?

Mike.

I'm sorry to bother, but can anyone tell me where to find documentation on Columns UI's layout presets thing (the splitters and panels part which I can't understand at all)?

I want to have it iTunes style (Artists panel, them Album next to it -- both on top of the playlist, which exibits songs according to the current selection in the panels). I've found the foo_browser component, which is supposed to allow you to do the things I mentioned. So far all I could accomplish is a single top-side panel (the type - artists, genre, album, etc. can be selected with shift + right mouse button) with the playlist in the bottom.

It just doesn't strike as something very intuitive... any tips?

    • When I was a teen, I actually believed that the government used to be always be the bad guy. However as an adult, someone who has actually seen the Law work (though not perfect). I now think everyone cries a river. In this specific case, the so called freedom has consequences to society. Anyone who has seen how child are indeed affected, and I don't mean only extreme things like getting drugs or hate crimen , but no one can deny society as a whole has gone down a rabbit hole due to exesive use of internet. Before anyone calls out that it's the parents responsibility. Yes that's true, but the reality your family/kids might be good people. There are 99% out there who are not and have been brain dead by many things on the internet.
