English Final Exam.

Recommended Posts

Well today was Day 1 of our Part 2 English Final Exam. Its a 3 day exam, done right in our regular English Class. Anyways, our last part is an essay (Gah! :(). We have to choose 2 books that we read over the year, and we have to right an essay based on a statement that we were given. The statement was a quote. Forgot who, but it went something like this. (Not word for word) "Most good novels show love, sacrifice, honor, and compasion."

Anyways, we have to pick two books, and we have to show how they both showed or didnt show love, sacrifice, honor, and compasion. (We only have to pick one, im prolly gonna go with love since I think it may be easiest.)

The books we read this year were The Outsiders, The Pearl, The Giver, The Pigman, and The Odyseey.

Im prolly gonna go with The Outsiders and The Pigman as my two choices, because they both show love somewhat. How Pony Boy was in love with Cherry, etc etc.

Now, here is my question.

**Note: I am not asking you to write my whole damn essay, I am just asking for opinions, and ideas.**

Before you all jump on my case saying "Do your own work, blah blah..", please read the bold print.

Now, what good detailed facts could I include to make my essay better? My teacher is the type of guy who looks for the littlest facts. Should I go deep down into the story, including every little bit, or just answer what the question is asking, and finish it there? Also, to those who read those books, which mite be anther good pair to choose that show one of those terms?

Thanks for any ideas and opinions that come. :)

:p mmmm Yes. "The Outsiders" rocks.

"The Forgotten Door", by Alexander Key is another cool book, with compassion, sacrifice, love, and honor in it.
