Restriction and profiles

Recommended Posts

I've been wondering about this but if you take the subscriber plan you're member group gets updated to @ subscriber yea?

what if you now have a sig which is way over the rules and you have to have profile restriction? will your email be taken away? i am not saying i will buy it so i can have bad sigs, i was just wondering.

thank you

alright thanks... it popped up because of the + in the member list, once you get a profile restriction you will still be a subscriber but you wont have the + anymore... i thought it may affect your subscription.

thanks keldyn. :)

there is a subscription forum? never knew that. :)

unless a new group will be created i think it will. since you use permission masks (am i right) to decide who sees what forums the restricted member will get a different mask then the subscriber so you wont be able to see that forum...

unless neowin has something coded out. :p

I got a question too. There is the new group for the subscribers. It shows that @ symbol and such. Restricted: (profile) and Restricted: (view) are there own respective groups as well. If someone is in one of the restrictions, but also has the subscription service, what woule the group say? Would you still be able to tell if they have the subscription service?

ya can somebody explain the who subscriber thing to me?? im lost about it all...

AFAIK, it's a special Neowin e-mail service that you have to pay for. But it helps keep Neowin going. It covers various costs and funds. :) And it's shown by a special new group in your profile and from what I've heard there's also a special forum you can visit, but that's new to me. You can also see subscribers in the members list if they have a + next to there name. I believe the cost is $10 (american).
