How Old Were You When You Moved Out?

Recommended Posts

I am in the process of finding a place to move out of for various reasons. I'm 20 years old and was wondering how old the rest of you Neowinians were when you decided to move out and why.

Me;

Age - 20 years old.

Reason - parents forcing unreasonable living conditions upon me, need independance.

I'll be moving out this fall and I'm 17. The reason is that I'm going to university and I'm staying in residence since it's about 100 km away.

I moved out when I was 18, was gone for 3 months, then I was back :-) I then left 3 months later (still 18) and I haven't moved back in since.

Just curious what is the "unreasonable living conditions" they are forcing on you? Do you have a job?

19. I bought my first house (which is now for sale!) when I was 19.

I am now 23 and married.

I thought you were much older then that Doug.

I moved out the same month I turned 19, so technically I was 18. My roommate at the time moved back home after our 6 month lease was up and left me all alone.

I moved out cause my mom thought it was about time for me to grow up.... :)

but he throws like a girl.

OT, you guys moved out quite early! Own house at 19, wow. I'm 17 so I still live with my parents and I don't really plant to move out for a few years at least. I would be nice to be independent and whatnot but even if I had a really well paying job I wouldn't be able to buy an apartment let alone a house for a long time. Condos here = at least $100,000; houses are upwards of $300,000.:pinch:h:

@NFC Wave, were you the guy whose parents made him pay them for everything even though they're both well-off? Give them your paychecks and stuff? If so I'm glad you're moving ou(Y)Y)

3 jobs actually.

Check out this thread for a little explanation as to what my situation is: https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=162633&hl=

A friend of mine owns an apartment building and he's pretty sure he can get me in there for nice and cheap. So that would own. Only reason I was staying at home in the first place was that it was to save money as I went to school, but it ended up to be a terrible decision.

Soon enough, freedom (Y)

I am 20 now and couldnt be happier. Free Rent, Occasional Bickering, and close friends. It couldnt get much better.
