0 neogort
It was so fun writing hundreds of lines of code that can be written with one or two lines nowadays ;)
0 sHARD>>
QB4.5 was nice....but to be really awsome you got to use Visual Basic v1.0 for DOS...its actually useful! A nice tool to create DOS GUIs!
0 Rob Veteran Posted June 9, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 9, 2004 Ahh I've used VBDOS and QB4.5. I remember when I finally got hold of a bootleg copy of QB4.5 (it was still being sold) and was amazed at how I could actually COMPILE my QB programs! Corr I felt so naughty doing it with a pirated copy.

0 morganpugh84
Cool, I was under the impression that it didn't work in XP. It seems to work just fine  I couldn't be arsed to make the 5 floppies so I just copied all the files into 1 directory and it worked (just like software should! heh). It is really good actually because I need to write some DOS applications soon for my new Ghost Delivery System at work. A good reason to use it :woot:

0 moeburn
Qbasic was my first programming language ever. I still use it when i have tons of time to spend on the laptop. Its just plain fun. But i reccomend Qbasic 7, it has more compiling features and a better help file.
