I work at the local hospital doing their TV service.

Pros:

- Short hours (< 2 hours a shift)

- Very good pay (base fee of $30 plus 13% commission. I usually bring in $400 a shift, plus they're giving me $2000 for University in a month)

- No supervisor (hes 2 hours away and never calls me at work)

- Air conditioned office with cable TV (so I'm comftorable doing my light paperwork and totals)

- Free drinks at the cafeteria

Cons:

- I've seen things that no one should ever have to see

- They often make me go into isolation rooms to hook up TVs for people

- I never got to make money off the phone service which starts in October

- I lost quite a bit of money last year during the SARS and Norwalk hospital closures

My last job was working for TV licencing here in the UK, and while I respect the BBC a lot and realise why they charge for a licence, it was still a pretty depressing job. I have since left there, and am about to start a company (if all goes to plan).

Technical support / salesfloor employee for a locally owned grocery store in Lawrence, Kansas. I fix the store computers when they break, and stock shelfs and do b**** work when they aren't broken (which, seeing as I am a great tech, isn't often ;))
