thanks, everyone. we have several other cats but the speedman was my oldest. he had a very good life and very little to ask for...well...except for a front door that opened on his command LOL.

the pic of him is from the night (aug 30, 1990) i found him at the speedway gas station. he was just bouncing around so i scooped him up as soon as i saw him. he sat in the front seat while i was busy with the gas and on the way home he sat on my lap. he'd just had a bath because he was buggy and dirty. he was so young that he still had his blue eyes. dr frey said speeds was spunky with a pleasant disposition because he kept playing with his fingers when i took him to the dr the next day. we aren't sure of when he was born but that year there was a friday the 13th in july so we fudged his birthday to be on that day. friday the 13th is a nice day to born if you're a black cat. :) he was such a good kitten that he waited until after we opened gifts christmas day to knock the tree down

I'm sorry to hear about that. We just recently had to put down our german shepherd/wolf. He was with us since I was 4 or so..
