Hum
 You can cushion the area with cotton balls, apply aloe vera lotion to help heal them.

HPMCommander
It's crazy here at Governor's School... We have like 5 or 6 people on my floor that play guitar, we have two drummers, and like 3 vocalists (including myself) that can "freestyle". We have 3-4 hour-long "jam sessions" every night with guitars and basses and everything, it's fantastic... I've got these huge blisters/calluses/etc. all over, though. It's crazy. Ehrihk
I use to get them on my hands but now I only get them on my toes and heel. I guess it's from all the walking bare feet.
lara_rose
I get Callouses on the soles of my feet all the time..due to wearing heels and just probably the way i stand or something. I use a pumice stone to rub some of it down and is best done while having a bath as the water helps to soften them up. They go and come back over time, not alot you can do to prevent them, although there are things available from the chemist, like cushions for the feet etc, its more hassle than anything else. I dont think there is anything really available for callouses on the hand, just lots of lotion to keep them soft. I started to get these uncomfortable pains as the hard skin started to dig into my flesh..hard to explain, so i bought a bottle of stuff made by Dr Scholl for callouses and popped a few drops on it, covered it with the plaster which came in the pack and hey presto! the hardened skin started to come away after couple days. It was oddly satisfying peeling all that dead skin off..lol but thats been like 4-5 years ago and my feet are alot better... i just used the pumice stone now. :)
ootput
Jump into a hot spa/sauna/jacuzzi. Besides the theraputic benefits, increased blood flow to the derms can help relieve and repair calluses. I lift a lot of weights, and this always helps out.
jiggling_john
Nope, I do a lot of sports like biking, swimming and running but I don't get them  you aren't riding anywhere near a decent standard if you dont get them on your hands...
