Banzai
Hi mods, im not sure how other neowinians feel about this but it annoys me a bit. I dont mean to complain but when mods move topics I have no idea this has happened so I have to look all round the board. Is it possible that when moving topics the admin?s could turn on that feature that leaves a shortcut to where the topic has been moved. I know it almost defines the point of moving the topic, but it would make it allot easy for members. Thanks
Deaf Spacker
It does not annoy me but where would the shortcut be put if it was implemented? :/

Deaf Spacker
No I haven't seen it, what I meant was if the topic was moved they dont create a new topic with the shortcut do they? So where would the shortcut go? I'm confused :(
Storm
no, when they move it, the forum software leaves a link in the old forum :D

Si Veteran Posted June 12, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 12, 2004 no, when they move it, the forum software leaves a link in the old forum :D It would need to remove the link after a while, or what would be the point of moving the thread? Keldyn
Moderators have the option of sending a PM (auto generated) to the member, whenever a thread of his/hers is moved.
Deaf Spacker
Also whats wrong with using teh search feature?
Banzai
^ cuz most of the time i forget the name of the thread. And by seeing the link that normaly reminds me. Keldyn I mean for people who reply to the topic not topic starters.
Toxikk Veteran Posted June 12, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 12, 2004 no, when they move it, the forum software leaves a link in the old forum :D the default is set to no for this option. it would leave shortcuts everywhere, and we decided that was not a good experience. Wannes
it would leave the forum very messy because i am sure a lot of topics are moved daily.

OptiPlex
if the post was moved the mod should have it pm you. if you do not get these notifications, please contact someone on the staff. The autogenerated PM's are there, but for some reason it says '0 new messages' up top. You go check the front page and it says you have (1) New Message. :o Got some fixing to do eh? whoever codes the site :ninja:
