gawdflesh
does getting a tattoo hurt? ive been thinking abt getting one when im more older and would like to know Depends on where you get it, but after a few minutes, it stops hurting and just becomes more annoying than anything else. kitteny_berk
does getting a tattoo hurt? ive been thinking abt getting one when im more older and would like to know depends where it is and of course, how you classify pain but on the whole, for mine (inside of calf) it was like someone attacking it gently with an electric toothbrush

budala
I wouldn't mind getting one, but just the fact you have to live with it for the rest of your life... thats why u think of something that u want... and would keep there for the rest of ur life, when u get old, when ur muscles get saggy :ninja:
ahfunaki
yea, but it's really hard finding something you think you'll be ok with forever. Like the only thing I think I would be ok with is like my last name somewhere. Just because it's something that I know I will have forever too... Barney T. Administrators Posted June 15, 2004 Author Administrators Share Posted June 15, 2004 Having a tattoo placed is a lot like getting a real bad sunburn and then dragging a pin or needle across it. That is the v\best way to describe it. And YES, you need to think long and hard to make sure you put the right tattoo (something that really means something to you) on. I have three and would never want any of them removed! They all have meaning to me. Barney
Kriz
I think this is awesome, redman I think has one of these, or something like it...And this is not mine by the way... Rage
I find that the worst place to get a tattoo done is anywhere that there is a large muscle. In order for the ink to take in those areas the artist has to go really deep with the ink, so it feels a lot worse. I don't find that it hurts, but sometimes it's really hard to keep still because the needle is hitting so many nerves. Also the outlining tends to be the worst part of the tattoo because they only use one needle so it pulls a little more at your skin. When they color it in, the multiple needles don't seem to be as bad. And as barneyt said, make sure it has meaning, and meaning that will last. I've got four tattoos, but the first one that I got I wish I could get rid of, because it was just a spur of the moment thing and I didn't really think about it. The other three that I have are very important to me though: both my mother's and father's family crests, and my zodiac sign.
