frease
Shoppers 'stressed out by supermarket choice' Supermarket shoppers are getting stressed because they are being offered too much choice, a survey claims. The survey says shoppers are suffering from 'product claustrophobia' because they simply cannot choose which product to buy. And it claims advertising only makes the problem worse, says the Daily Record. The report, The Explosion of Choice: Tyranny or Freedom?, says too much choice can be oppressive, rather than liberating. In one supermarket it found 83 different shampoos, 68 shower gels, 42 deodorants, 77 washing powders, and 87 breakfast cereals. Psychologist Dr Aric Sigman, author of the report, said: "Humans now have to make more decisions in a single day than a caveman did in a lifetime." Source: http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_987662.html For me, I think it would be pretty fun to have many choices to choose from. I cant understand why people would be stressed out by that :p

Apollo
imagine you have to do shopping for a whole month and you have about 100 "products" to buy and of those 100, all of them have about a 5 to 10 different ones to choose from. You probably like having lots of choice because you don't do shopping for your family (and me neither) but i know it'll be annoying when i'll do. vraa
Not just picky girlfriends, almost any female. It works best for me to just get one of those 50$ gift certificates for birthdays and what not.
ozgeek
Yep I get quite confused and stressed whe choosing for the right one. But, because I live away, I have to make some decisions so I made it a bit easier by just buying one brand, and if I don't that, I buy some other brand. (remember this is for food!). For computers, I always ask other people what their experience is in using a specific brand, like my father. It is always a good idea to talk to someone you thinks knows about computers so that you get the right one.

Bearded Kirklander
I like things simple. Remember when they had the Geforce 3 TI 200 and TI 500? That was good. :) There was Office and Office Pro once, and that was all you had to worry about. That was cool.. Yes, I wish things were simpler. Too many choices can be confusing and annoying. :o
Digital Pimp
Choice is good, id agree too much choice is confusing. I cant say im that fussed in day to day life. Supermarkets are truely the only problem for choice, i get really annoyed when i go shopping, its busy never the things you want or plan to buy. So in the that sense i'll go along with that
Hum
 I mostly stick with things I used/like growing up. Ignore all other choices.
