I can?t believe people are defending the shop owner...he?s a scumbag making a profit off stealing and lying to paying customers. He deserves his fate.

Another update: Just got a call from the owner of the computer store just a few minutes ago, asked me if I wanted to pick up my check or just have it mailed to me. :D , I guess the letter from the state of Kansas got him moving. But still wondering how Microsoft will handle the piracy issue, will they send out a nasty letter threatening legal action, or will state/local law enforcement get involved, or what else? Thanks for the help and support.

Granted the shop owner's practices are wrong. But perhaps u shudda warned him and think about the other ppl you may be adversly affecting by reporting him... does he have a wife and kids for example? Stuff like that never crosses peoples mind and certainly won't go through Microsoft's minds.

Oh, wtf. You actually wasted your time reporting them?

What did that computer shop ever do to you? Did you lose any profit because the copies were not legit?

In other words, why should you even care? You should have just installed XP on that computer and deal with it. It's a simple concept. ;)

some people are losers...thats why

You might want to say the same for drug dealers.

If you break the law, you get what you deserve.
