MrCalifornia
when using thunderbird, it keeps timing out, can anyone gelp me connect with thunderird? Did you sign up for Yahoo! Mail Plus? You have to have Plus to get POP3 access to your mail.
Toxicfume Veteran Posted June 15, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 15, 2004 that's cause mail.google.com exists as a domain on http's port ;) and it forwards you to gmail.google.com anyways. But that says nothing about gmail going in for pop3. I don't know if they arleady provide it though, or if they are having such plans in the future. Amerk_5
when using thunderbird, it keeps timing out, can anyone gelp me connect with thunderird? You can use YahooPOPs to get pop3 access to your free yahoo mail. Although at the moment it looks like the site is down.

bangbang023 Veteran Posted June 15, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 15, 2004 To make things better, a few months ago they made it so bulk mail doesn't count towards your used space so if you get lots of spam, it's not going to suck up all you inbox space. #Michael
Thanks for that heads up. Yahoo isn't google, so people tend to be less patient. It's also because of that major dns outage. That dns company is used by yahoo...so the combo of the dns issue and the upgrades have hammered their servers.
