Are all of the major search engines DOWN?

Recommended Posts

www.google.com - server not found

www.google.com.au - server not found

www.yahoo.com - server not found

www.altavista.com - server not found

www.askjeeves.com - server not found

Everything else seems to work fine...and I'm out of search engines I know off the top of my head.

This is getting scary, should I yell at my ISP again?

It's not my browser either, tried it in IE, MyIE2, Opera, and Firefox.

1) Google is the backbone of the Opera browser...well, at least the way I use it.

2) the internet without search engines... I came into the internet too late for that.

Someone got a good DNS server for me?

God!

Why do people do this? It is nothing but annoying and no one thinks the person involved is clever!

I mean taking down servers etc. What do hackers get out of it?
