Are all of the major search engines DOWN?

I mean taking down servers etc. What do hackers get out of it?

Its the thrill and the challenge they get out of it.

hmmmm they work for me now.....Google and Yahoo and Ask Jeeves do but not altavista

Off topic but.....How long has Yahoo mail gotten 100MB of storage??

i dont know if australia ended up getting our big root server yet... as far as i know we still get it from Nz

All are fine for me, in every browser i try, after emptying cache/history and even rebooting.

And I'm on PIPEX here too. Everythings fine here.

guys i just restarted my dns service in windows and it's all working again

1) open control panel (or you start bar- depends)

2) open administrative tools

3) open services

4) right-click DNS Client

5) select stop in the menu

6) select start in the menu

Hey, calm down, you understand servers are comptuers and they need maintenance just like home computers do. They are probably just down for a cleanup. They will be back. Just try somewhere else for a while. :)

Aye, but for SO many to "need maintenance" simultaneously is uncanny, or at least one hell of a coincidence...
