incubusdaemon
I need to blow out the fans on my laptop with some compressed air, but I don't know where to buy it. Radioshack, Homedepot and Bestbuy don't carry it. Anyone know a major retailer or a place near Oakland, CA that sells it?
Fonze
I bought some at Best Buy. I know compusa definitely has it and I bought a 4pack at costco for $10. great value, huge cans
+primortal Subscriber² Posted June 15, 2004 Subscriber² Share Posted June 15, 2004 radioshack and best buy doesn't have? They always carry it by me. How about an office supply store like staples/officemax/office depot?

incubusdaemon
hmm... well, i have gotten idiotic help at best buy and radio shack before. Costco seems like the best bet, since i have a card there. Also, the suggestions of an office supply store were good- i hadn't thought of those- thanks! Acezo
Good prices at Sam's Club. I just go down to the garage once a month and use the heavy-duty air compressor on my case :D

EmuZombie Veteran Posted June 16, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 16, 2004 It's possible that the "canned air" is illegal in your area.... If so, you won't find any at any store

RogueJawa
 canned air is illegal in some places? I wouldnt be suprised, its not actually air (as in oxygen, nitrogen, etc.) its um... difluroethane (or atleast the stuff i have is). Maybe its harmful to the ozone. Rockett15
:) could be .. however it's mainly your chloroflourocarbons that are banned

Judge Verbose
this is kinda a dumb idea but you /could/ go to a gas station and get a screw driver to open the valve on those free air things(for filling up your tires/tanks/etc). Then again you would have to lug your pc out to do it...cheaper though :-/
incubusdaemon
I'd need a needle point to use one of those air compressors, since I only want to blow out the fans and not spread dust all over everything. I hope canned air is legal here, cuz I use it at work every day.
