Gmail's Future Features

compared to Hotmail or Yahoo!Mail, it's interface is as not "eye-candy" as the others. And eye-candy is important for non-computer-literate users.

I agree there, but for the service provided it is a great interface and sometimes "eye-candy" can be difficult to navigate and use with so many differnt options, i prefer a click of a button, etc...

Well, I'm sure they could have picked better colours for example. And maybe everything was not so crowded. Theres no padding anywhere :p

It's not crowded at all. Take a look at hotmail and the buttons are puny and hard to find because of the crowdedness. As well, you cant compose a new message unless ur in your inbox folder on Hotmail. So Gmail owns :D

So i believe this is the arguement agreed? The colour sceme is fine, it is simple and not any heavy duty pictures so it loads fine and quick. Notice no adverts or third party spam. Ill stick with gmail!!!! Face it hotmail sucks, yahoo has a crap interface and well AOL is dead....

Yeah, that's the one thing I don't like about it. I get support emails from a couple of sites I work for and would love to have folders to categorize them instead of stars

Ok, i have just tried the labels properly and it is really annoying lol, there is nothing on the inbox to achually move it to that label, and you have to go into the email to label it.

Ok my mind is set, introduce folders and make it so you can get web addresses to go into that folder

e.g neowin.net into a Neowin folder...

Also, I know you cant receive .exe files in GMail, not sure about sending em.

Gmail does not accept these types of files, even if they are sent in a zipped (.zip, .tar, .tgz, .taz, .z, .gz) format. If someone tries to send this type of message to your Gmail account, the message will be bounced back to the sender.

Looking forward to the POP3 support hopefully. I know that they mentioned something about RSS feeds for the accounts to. That would be interesting...
