OTHER. MSDN Academic Alliance.

College gives free licenses to their computer science students. You just don't say no to "free" software do you?

I've got a couple of Windows XP home/pro versions, but I have decided not to use them, because of the product activation scheme which is blatantly evil. It is better to use the patches found on the Internet so one doesn't have to ask Microsoft to use the computer one bought.

Gratefully, there is always Gentoo Linux.

Windows 95b two copies in one new box by accident.

Windows 98 a new box.

Windows XP Home Edition with three oem licenses copies by accident.

MSDNAA.

Does anyone have MS Office as part of their MSDNAA? My uni only has Access 2003, OneNote and Infopath but doesn't give Word, Excel or PPT 2003. (of course, we have all versions of windows)

i have TWO legal copies of windows server 2003, TWO legal copies of office 2003 and i got my copy of windows xp through the job that is.. not so legal. so i consider myself a push. especially since i only use one copy of my office and none of my copies of 2003 server.

oh and if u wonder how i got the legal copies?? im in a couple of user groups and attended a few microsoft conventions.

Well i should really click 2 as I bought a copy from my fav pc supplier then i downloaded the corp edition so i didnt have to go through the activation crap everytime i reinstall my pc.

I also didnt have the internet at the time and couldnt be bothered phoning up all the time to activate.

But from what i remember i have around 2 activations left i think.

I was given a copy of the corp edition by a friend and after using it for a few days decided XP was much better than Millennium so purchased the OEM version for ?60 and have been very happy with it.
