Bearded Kirklander
I just hope they don't add a text advertisement at the bottom of the message like the free Yahoo mail does. I'll be happy with 2 meg if the alternative is 10 meg with an ad or something like that.

Bearded Kirklander
I don't use hotmail for anything important and hardly ever for attachments. Just as disposable email really.
RufioPan
You don't need a hotmail account to get MSN Messenger You used to though.. It used to be that you couldn't use some of the features of MSN Messenger features unless you had a Hotmail/MSN email address. I believe it was only with version 5 that they unlocked all features for individuals without a Hotmail/MSN address. I could be mistaken about that version though... I think most ppl just signed up with hotmail for the MSN account, and kept it ever since. And with MS software and services being as pervasive as they are, it's no wonder so many ppl get Hotmail accounts when signing up for MSN accounts. Raven
Microsoft cave? No way. More likely they will sue others offering more than 2mb for unfair trade practices....
Devila_C
well 2mb is a bit small, considering those ppl that dont zip or think about sending SMALLER attachments, but 2mb has made me learn the good habit of cleaning out emails and deleting unncessary forwards! :D

Paulstorm
Just b/c MSN hasn't announced an upgrade to Hotmail doesn't mean they have not been working on it. The Great Storage Bubble of 2004 has obviously shifted the playing field. Of course MSN will 'respond', and it will surely be comparable to what Yahoo! and Google are doing in terms of storage. MSN has a few other tricks to come this year that simply take a bit of time to develop & test. Hotmail isn't just a mail service from MSN's perspective, but a Personal Information Management service. Granted, most don't use it as such today...but MSN will not ceede the storage fight to Yahoo! & Google and risk loosing potential subscribers. krazychris
i like hotmail... i have nothing against it... they should just upgrade it to 10mb for free they have 67 million accounts.. that would be this many GB: 67,00,
