Smooth ice cream. Nothing chunky or with pieces of anything becuase it can get stuck in the gaping holes she has in the back of her gums.

Aaron Veteran Posted June 16, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 16, 2004 she really likes ICEEs, would she be able to have one of those? Youa re not suppose dto suck on anything as it may cause the stitches to pull out. I must have been one lucky mofo when I had mine pullled out. 3 of the 4 were already broken through , so only one had to be cut out. I enjoyed the anesthesia so much that when I got home I sat ouside and had a few cigarettes and ejoyed the buzz. I had a steak for dinner that night. Symbiotic Hat
ICEE's are great but make sure she eats it with a spoon. Don't let her suck it through the straw, it could cause dry socket.

I sure dont want them. Everyone has them I think, but they are not a problem for everyone. Actually they are really only a cosmetic problem as they crowd your teeth and make them crooked. Many times they come in almost sideways and run into the back molars, which is referred to as impacted.

Aaron Veteran Posted June 16, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 16, 2004 I just got my teeth all sorted out with braces and wisdom tooth are showing and one is coming out the side  Will they have to yank them out? Yes. Very painfully too, sorry to tell you. The dentist will put his foot on your chest and yank with a pair of pliers till the tooth rips out leaving a huge gaping hole in the back of your gums. Just kidding, it isn't as bad as peopel make it out to be.
syntaxerror64
For those of you who are younger, you can get them clear into your twenties... I am 29 and mine are coming in full force now. Most people do, some are lucky enough to not need them pulled, and a few very lucky souls don't get them at all. .KICK... most likely your dentist will want to take it out, yes. tool hippy... You are one of those lucky souls! I am dreading having to have mine removed.
QuantumTrickery
The removal isn't bad at all. Its when you get home and have to deal with it. That's what kills. I had a real nice dentist though, gave me some amazing painkillers.
AJAJ
Current studies conclude that literally billions of teeth have been removed unnecessarily, which has made a comfortable living for a lot of oral surgeons-nine out of ten American teenagers (who have dental insurance) fall prey to this operation. The cumulative cost of wisdom tooth extraction is estimated to exceed "that for any other surgery," says Dr. J.F. Tulloch, reporting in the Journal of Dental Education. Info on wisdom teeth. Just kidding, it isn't as bad as peopel make it out to be. It isn't really all that painful, just take everyones advice and not give her any solid food. Slushies and Ice Cream are the best things to have, and after two days I managed to have some somewhat solid food. And a kid in my class how two bruises on his chest from the dentist. It would be interesting to sit in on a wisdom tooth removal.
