You gotta remember that animals a Amoral (VERY different to immoral). They have no concept of right/wrong. They do what they do because they are animals, not humans.

They know to hunt and devour other animals for food - why would their offspring be any different?

OMG, poor little kitten, one time my dog broke my cats neck, they were just playing too ruff though.

Maybe she did... just those kittens won't go away after they died and :s ing the house...

The female cat when smells a different scent on them she eats them.. i have had many home births with my cats and i know..

yuk, kinda disgusting and horrible, but i spose there musta been something wrong with them, so the mother cat figured no point letting them live, and ate them so there was no wastage.

All of this smell or something wrong with it or sensed danger stuff is crap..

The truth is, some cats don't have the maternal instincts that most others have. I had a cat that abandoned its litter before.

It just happens.

oh noes! that's really funny :D but i'm mucked up.

but if the kitten was unhealthy, then the mother eating it lets the mother have another (hopefully healthier) child. lots of protein.
