North America vs Europe

Recommended Posts

Europe has: Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini, Porsche, BMW...

North America has: Chrysler, Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge...

Very True. You forgot Mercedes-Benz, Bentley, Aston Martin and Jaguar though. :D

In Europe (At least in Germany and France) normal people walking around on the streets are dressed nicer than in the US. (At least that's what I have seen). ;)

Another thing: Europe got the Siemens SL55 cell phone before North America did. I was about to special order one from Europe just because it was exclusive but now they have them in the US and Mexico too. Screw that, I don't want to have the same cell phone everyone has. :p

Well England (and possibly other European countries) have to pay for local calls so it kind of makes sense that cell phones (mobiles) would be more popular there then here in the States.

NA: Primary country executes children, Canada's nice at any time of year, Mexico has world's biggest city.

Europe: Excellent beaches, more cultures and nationalities peacefully squashed together than anywhere else, the most expensive fuel

"NA: Primary country executes children"

Um...what?

I think that's fairly obvious. The primary country of North America (The United States of America) executes children (or at least those under 18).

Most of the western world looks at capital punishment as being somewhat barbaric.

In Europe ( mainly France though ) people dont bathe regularly ( if at all ) and the women have hair under their arms :x:

In North America people have a fetish about bathing and the women look like women should!!! (Y)

In America, you have the freedom to achieve just about anything you want to do.

You want to be a bum, you can......you want to be a movie star/music star, you can.

You want to live your live within the law how you want, you can, you want to be

president, you can. America has boundless limits on what you can do.

Please name one thing you can do in the so called 'land of the free' that you can't do in Europe

Okay.. I was going to let this slide, but you are SO full of bulls**t I just have a couple of questions that I would like you to answer...

Would you please name ONE instance in which a child under the age of 18 has been executed?? Hmmm.. I thought not.. Your feeble attempt at posting such ignorant drivel without reasearching the facts does you shame.. Both Federal and State law prohibits any Juvenile under the age of 18 to be tried as an adult ( Title 10 USCODE ) except under very specific circumstances and even then may not be executed but may receive a life sentance.. If they are charged as a Juvenile, they must be released at the age of 18, and their court records as a juvenile sealed...

As far as the history of Capitol Punishment you should study the history of your OWN country and then cast stones!!

Get your ducks in a row before posting!!

I was off topic?! At least I fully read posts I have the nerve to reply to!

Go back and read what I wrote. I said:

Have you tried using broadband in the UK?
And you replied with:
Some countries like Sweden have inexpensive 10Mbps connections.

... Let me get this straight. In your mind, Sweden is part of the UK but the UK is not part of Europe?

Thats so easy I didnt have to break a sweat.. In America I can own a handgun and actually use it in self defence! In 42 States you may openly carry a hand gun if you wish.. In 38 States you may obtain a concealed carry permit.. Is that enough or do you want me to go on??? :p

In Sweden, we do bath regularly and the women do not have hair under their arms.

Europe (especially Sweden) has the finest girls :)

(Y) in North America: cheap gas

(N) in North America: pollution, George W. Bush, capital punishment in some states, ppl have a twisted sense of beauty, most ppl are self-centered and don't give a censored.gif about the world outside the US

(Y) in Europe: environmental protection, ppl are open-minded

(N) in Europe: pricy gas and EU

That's all what I have on my mind right now...

OK, have fun with your guns. I hope the person caught in some crossfire enjoys that 'freedom' as much as you.

In North America there are two official languages (English and Fran?ais).
Americans don't speak English; they speak American. There are differences between the 2 languages. Likewise, French Canadian is used in Qu?bec; it is somewhat different from French. I imagine it to be the same with Spanish too, but I don't speak much Spanish so I wouldn't know for sure.
They drive on the wrong side only in the UK

Actually, we drive on thrightb> side of the road! It's you lot that drive on the wrong side!! Seriously: there is no 'right' and 'wrong' side of the road to drive on.

...and the women look like women should!!!
That's assuming you're into women that are fat and minging.

So that's where we've been going wrong all this time, is it?! Quick, let's all move to the US just so we can own a ****ing gun! The world would be a much safer place if peoplweren'tb> allowed to own a gun!

-----

More differences:

- We (in the UK) know how to correctly pronounce the word 'aluminium' (i.e. NOT 'aloo-min-um').

- Americans are fatter than people in Europe (on average).

- We (in Europe) don't sue everyone just for the sake of it.

- We know how to correctly represent a date: dd/mm/yyyy (i.e. in order of length, which would make sense), and not mm/dd/yyyy. Annoying because when you see a date such as 06/02/2004 and it's not imediately obvious whether it's English or American, how are people supposed to know whether it's 6 Feb or 2 Jun??

Also, the definitions of 'American' at Urban Dictionary (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=american&f=1) are a good read, particularly the one dated 20 May 2003!!

Btw: don't mean to offend anyone; just my 2p:p:p
