I don't get how the Micro-pulses sent by little motor can "pick-up" hair to get a closer shave. I mean if you use shaving cream, the hair would be covered by the cream right? Which would make it impossible to "pick-up" any hair.

Best razor ever used - blade or electric. It's just so fast and easy.

Well.. those old school folding razors are the best ones. but hard to get the hang of... Still have the Mach3 on my list for shopping this weekend.

I heard this one dude overclocked the shaver and now everytime he shaves, he shatters chunks of his brain sonically, a little at a time.

Yeah, I still would like to know exactly what this thing does. I read the M3 website, but I don't want technical crap, I'd like someone to tell me exactly why it's a good buy and what difference it has over a Turbo or original Mach3.

I think you mean a straight or strap razor, and yeah, those things are awesome. Just be careful, you may just slit your own throat.

I'm pretty sure you won't feel the shock from a AA or AAA battery (whichever it uses). It may fry your razor on the other hand, but I doubt it. You still need to rinse the blade off anyway right?
