Ads overwriting text in "Read More/Comments" page

Recommended Posts

I have 3 screen caps of the Neowin site's "Comment" page. It seems the table on the right-hand side will override the main text box at lower resolutions. I'm not talking about wee teeny tiny. I mean even larger than 800x600.

I was using IE when I capped these. Please don't start a browser flame war here. I'm just pointing out what happens in IE so the Admins and/or coders can have a look at it.

I'll attach each screenshot in a new post so you can see what I'm talking about.

Screencap at 1024x768

Still looks like the ad block takes up more room than it should. I could be wrong.

Screencap with browser reduced in size.

With Google ads, the text slides under the main article header...

it's always been like this, do a search in this forum and you'll find that this issue has been addressed a couple times before. :)

Another cap with reduced window size (still larger than 800x600).

Flash ads slide over the main article header.

Yes, I'm aware it has. I wasn't sure if anyone had pointed out that Google ads slide under text while flash ads override the headers.

,Jun 22 2004, 19:52] i dont think that point exactly has, but i am not sure. :/

That's why I posted 3 screencaps. :) It just struck me as odd that one version slides under, one slides over yet they both skew the overall aesthetics of the page.
