Corpse Flower

Recommended Posts

A giant exotic plant that has not bloomed in the Northeast in more than 60 years is ready to flower at the University of Connecticut's greenhouses. The ''corpse flower'' has the odor of 3-day-old road kill, and UConn botanists couldn't be more excited.

And here's a webcam of it

That's really really nasty, but fascinating nonetheless

I've heard of this kind of stuff before. Weird and disgusting, but you have to admit that it's fascinating. Might even have a certain bit of irony...

Husband: "Honey, smell this beautiful plant I've just bought you."

Wife: "...."

(Wife passes out).

Husband: ".... Honey?"

I have heard of this type of flower before. Pretty wild that a flower could only bloom every so many decades
