How to find someone?

Recommended Posts

Allow me to explain myself.

When I was about 15, I found out that the person I called my father isn't truly my father. So, we went through hoops with the prosecutor's office to claim the back child support owed, and just recently, I have started recieving the back payments. The odd thing is I haven't heard from my father. I asked the prosecutor's office for more information, like an address, etc, but they told me that through some privacy statement, they are not allowed to release the information, and I can't look up the court info, because it never went to court. So, I got what information my mother had, and have started searching. But I haven't came up with much to go on, only like 7 phone numbers for the state that I live in, and I don't want to randomly call the numbers, without having any idea if this is the right person I am calling or not. And that was the only info that the prosecutor's office would release. I have tried googling, but haven't found any good leads. I need to find him, as I have to ask him a few questions about our medical history, as I have had a few rather serious problems pop up.

I'd rather not have to hire a private investigator. I am just looking for websites and the such that offer pleaces to search, etc. I don't want one of the programs that is supposed to give you anything on any person either. And I'd prefer, at least for the moment, to do as much as possible for free.

So does anyone have any ideas?

First, I say good luck to you and I wish you well in finding those answers about your medical history. That's something you shouldn't mess around with and I hope you find all you need.

Secondly, with something as important as your medical history, I would not hesitate to try each of those 7 numbers you have already located. I don't think it would hurt, and at most, you might be embarressed to call unknown people. But since your medical history places a factor in this, I think you should just call them and not worry about the minor annoyance the wrong numbers would create.
