imation2458
I am a recent high school graduate and now I am looking at options for furthuring my education. I have looked around my area, the major state schools, and their computer degrees pretty much suck. They only offer the general Computer science or computer enginnering degrees. I have researched various online colleges and I have found one called Westwood college, that is very appealing, offering a Bachelor of science in Information Systems Security. It appeals to me because they are not just an online instutuion like many others but have many campuses around the country. This specfic degree is home to the Denver north campsus. Not a lot of colleges seem to offer this kind of degree and after 9/11 and such, I can only imagine the need for companies to protect their networks in the world today. The only thing is the price... They say its about $3,729 for 10 weeks term. And it would take about 34 month to complete so your looking at around 52-62 thousand for a 4 year degree. They are accretited by the way. Sorry for the long post, any advice or comments are welcomed. Westwood college http://it.westwood.edu/
Hum
 You may want to look into government loans such as SALLIEMAE. (sp.?) And make sure there is a good future in the USA for this computer job -- don't train for something that may go overseas, unless you're willing to move. Best of luck in your future career. :)
b0nk
If you want my opinion, I would go get that B.S. in computer science, then go back and get a masters in something specific. I know that your against it, but alot of people in the field have told me that. Good Luck!!

Good Luck!! The thing is everyone attending college seems to be getting a Computer Science, dont you think the job market will be saturated with those types of graduates in the IT field?
