VS .Net Prerequisites

Question

Does anyone have a list of the VS .Net Prerequisites (VS .Net 2003 Academic).

I lost my Prerequites CD (but still have the 2 gold install disks) and I am going to try to download all the prereq. components if I can find a list.

The only thing that I have found told me that the only list is on the prerequisite disk itself (does that seem smart?).

So if anyone has a prereq. disk sitting around for VS .Net I was wondering if you could post the list of prereq's from the moreinfo.htm file on the disk.

# Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 or later

# Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Web Extensions Client

# Setup Runtime Files

# Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1

# Microsoft Data Access Components 2.7 Service Pack 1 (Windows 2000 only)

# Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1

# Microsoft Visual J# .NET Redistributable Package 1.1

Looks like you might not be able to install it without a prerequisites disk ("Setup Runtime Files").

Yeah, you need the CD to install the prerequisites. Unless you plan on installing all of those yourself, you won't be able to install VS.NET :/ Contact Microsoft and see if you can get a replacement CD (Y)

This is one of the benefits of P2P networks. If you legitimately own something, you can find a replacement if something is lost or damaged. Granted, software companies are usually good about media replacement, but the RIAA isn't.

Turns out you don't need it.

I installed what I could off of the list (thx dannysmurf) and then installed VS .Net skipping the prereq check and it works great.

Thx all.
