It will only be used to share files to Windows XP PCs on a linksys router network maximum users 4-5. Here's the computer specs: 466celeron 64megs of ram 10gig hd (plan on putting a ata100 card and plugging in 1-3big hard drives) It's currently has Windows 2k3 (lol) but the ram has been stripped from 256megs to 64megs and it runs pretty poorly now. Is there any hope at using this as a server or do I need to buy ram for it? I would think some non-gui version of linux w/samba would run decent, but I don't really know.
