Bearded Kirklander
Read that Seattle may trade Moyer next. Garcia I can understand because he did not want to stay in Seattle and he had those problems with drinking and clubbing last couple of years instead of working hard to get better. But Moyer? He is about as good a citizen as you can hope for, and he has been one of the best pitchers in the majors since going to the Mariners. Seattle is totally screwed. From 116 games a couple years ago to last place in the West. Guess they should not have gotten Lou Pinella so mad that he quit. Oh well. I can turn off the TV and play Fantasy baseball instead. :)
baseballpro9
Sad to see Miguel Olivio traded by white sox though, I still think he has the best arm in the MLB
Bearded Kirklander
Sad to see Miguel Olivio traded by white sox though, I still think he has the best arm in the MLB Is he a good catcher? I hope so. I thought a few teams would go after Pudge Rodriguez in the off season, including that Seattle team. I wonder what happened with that Ben Davis guy? He was a Padre and was supposed to be a good prospect. But I think they sent him down to the Minor leagues or something. Seattle is really screwed up. They get rid of Mike Cameron, make Lou Pinella leave, force their GM Pat Gillick out, and all this after years of great play. I don't understand it. baseballpro9
Olivio is an awesome fielding cather, with decent hitting skills. If he gets consistent playing time he will keep getting better and better. In Chicago he didnt play much because of Sandy Alomar Jr. Like I said he has an absolute Cannon

Seattle has split catcher duties between 2 catchers for years, so Olivio should get some more playing time, I think. I hope it works out for him in Seattle. IlliniPi
Really sad to see Olivo go, but I'm glad we got a great pitcher in Garcia. I was reading Jay Mariotti's column the other day, and he said that Kenny Williams has plans to make a trade for Russ Ortiz from Atlanta, which would be another great pickup. baseballpro9
Dont think they will pick up two quality pitchers. I hate Jay Mariotti with a passion, biased jag.

I hate Jay Mariotti with a passion, biased jag. Don't you just love that Sox favoritism? It was said in the article that it was either gonna be Garcia or Ortiz for the trade, but after Garcia got traded to the Sox, Williams said he still wanted Ortiz around. Maybe he would move Schoenweis back to relief to open up another spot for Ortiz.
baseballpro9
I still have my precious Tribune to favor my beloved Cubs. :shifty: Showenwies would be a great addition to the gap in the White Sox bullpen.....Jackson just cant pitch. Politte, Cotts, and Takatsu are all looking preety dang solid right now.
