San Diego
To me, it's sad that you had to make a milestone forum. I wouldn't walk into my workplace after being there for 1 year and start screaming and shouting "Woot, I've been here for a year! Everyone congratulate me!" If you post you post, if you don't, you don't. It's that simple. People come here to get help and people come here to give help. Who really cares about post count? If it were possible, you should have a rating based on how helpful and informative your posts are and aren't. Sorry...just my .02 cents!

Sorry...just my .02 cents! you damm troll j/k  imo the milestone threads are very important to users so they see how much they contributed to this forum. 1000 is alot. it gives the users a good/special feeling. and all the users who say "congrats" or "go you" show them their respect. Sorry...just my .02 cents!

Boffa Jones Veteran Posted June 28, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 28, 2004 This is such an awesome development. This will take all of the threads bogging up general discussion and stick them in a centralized thread. If anyoen bitches in those threads though.... I mean you would have to enter teh forum and then enter the thread...
Guest Ryan
Milestones forum added: I'd give you another dancing Britney, but one should be enough for one day (and I don't feel like getting complained about it by 2 mods and a member again).  Allthough perhaps maybe a Babes Forum would earn you two more and i can make an exception. :shifty:
bakerster
Thanks for the contributions everyone to this thread. I dont hate them, I DO read them, and I do post in them. It's just one of those things (unlike Gmail) that will NOT go away. We need organization. :) Thank You Neobond for actually listening to the members of this forum! CatnipOligarchy
good riddence. the milestone posts seemed to really increase in the last couple months.. i dont have a problem with them it just seemed like thats all general discussion was anymore. i think the post count locking would definitely be a good idea too.. I recall when I joined last summer that there were hardly any of them, and they were sort of getting out of control. But the Milestone forum is a great idea, lets just hope people will actually put them in there.
