Banzai
Its not know at the moment, It seems strange to beta test a service like this. I would guess by the end of the year, lol
slowestborg
If I were running the company, I'd keep it in beta forever, or at least until the company finishes its IPO. Seems like they are getting a heck of a lot of free publicity.

merkava
i think gmail will eventually cut off the idea of the pop3 access since you wont see the ads like that.
chacho
If I were running the company, I'd keep it in beta forever, or at least until the company finishes its IPO. Seems like they are getting a heck of a lot of free publicity. well thats a partly good, and partly bad idea...Google News has been in beta forever, and i have yet to come across a bug in it for the long time i have been using it. having a service in beta is an excuse to refuse tech support to an extent. personally, i think they should keep gmail an invite-only service. Bloodwork
personally, i think they should keep gmail an invite-only service. Well eventually everyone would be able to get it, if you do the math...1 person gets 2 invites, he invites 2 people, they each invite 2 people, each of those people invite 2 people, etc etc.
RangerLG
Wouldn't it be funny that when it goes public, they erase all current users and make everyone have to sign up again? :)
