Maybe it will only be the people that have it now can keep it and the rest have to pay!!!

Run! Everyone start freaking out over invites! Hurry as fast as you can and do anything to get one!

Oh, my bad, thats how everyone is right now :)

When the Beta is done, and all bugs has been ironed out ?

I guess they want to complete the beta program and iron out bugs within a certain period of time. :huh::

If I were running the company, I'd keep it in beta forever, or at least until the company finishes its IPO. Seems like they are getting a heck of a lot of free publicity.

They still have a lot to do on the list they made;

What's on your webmail wish list? (1,000 MB? Check.)

sometime soon  address book import

working on it  new mail alert

sometime soon    signatures on outgoing msgs

we'll try    POP3 access

working on it    plain HTML version of Gmail

working on it  automatic msg forwarding

working on it  safari compatibility

we hear ya  ability to save a draft

well thats a partly good, and partly bad idea...Google News has been in beta forever, and i have yet to come across a bug in it for the long time i have been using it. having a service in beta is an excuse to refuse tech support to an extent.

personally, i think they should keep gmail an invite-only service.

Well eventually everyone would be able to get it, if you do the math...1 person gets 2 invites, he invites 2 people, they each invite 2 people, each of those people invite 2 people, etc etc.
