lulolulito
I need to convert my VB6 application to VB.NET, but i think the tool that Microsoft provided is very limited. I will like to know if there is another company creating a tool for such task. (VB6 to VB.NET convertion) quote: if your need somebody, meet somebody! (VB6 to VB.NET convertion) quote: if your need somebody, meet somebody! What do you mean "Limited"? It takes your VB6 Project and tries to convert it into something of a .NET Equivalent. Its best to rearchitect your project from scratch anyways.
0 +Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted June 29, 2004 Subscriber² Share Posted June 29, 2004 Why convert? You don't end up with a true .net project, you end up with vb6 in wrappers.
0 Sn1p3t
Why convert? You don't end up with a true .net project, you end up with vb6 in wrappers. It's like when I used their tool to convert phpBB to ASP.net :D You'd be must better off just to re-write it. How big is it?

0 umerh
guys think of this situation in a different way maybe this guy would have invested his hours in thinking and writing a solutions and algorithms which he can't even think of rewriting them for .net and his job depends on that whole solution. Its not better to rewrite the whole code. Umer.
