Anyone from NYC?

Question

I wrote a little program to tell the user what time the nxt subway train is arriving based on the system clock.

it is for Pocket PC and essentially user selects a Train (ex B train) and a stop (42nd st) and which way(north/southbound) and it tells the time of the nxt arriving train.

Does anyone live in nyc and happen to ride the B train and own a PPC? I would like to have a few people test it out for me and tell me the accuracy of the time before i expand to other trains.

Thanks :)

Do you use the B-express train at all because my program gets the times from an xml datasheet which i so far made for the B train (partially, i will have it finished tonite...lots of copy-n-pasting). The D train is the nxt one on my list.

I got 2 questions for ya.

1. Would this program be useful to you if you are an everyday commuter?

2. If you do ride the B train, PM me and I will send u program tonite

Thx alot :), maybe ill even publicly put it on like tucows lol

A Service (Web Service) is a chunk of code that you can call from other apps or sites.

An example is Amazon.com can call a service from UPS and get an XML feed of your order's current deliever info

Your app could allow users to get Subway info via a webpage or app.

More base info about services:
