Arpit Posted September 23, 2001 Share Posted September 23, 2001 i just noticed that a separate software is required in order to play dvds in WMP8 (without paying for the dvd playback)...because it requires third party decoders...is there any way around it? just installing the third party decoders and then getting rid of the dvd software, so only WMP8 can play dvds..?? [f] Posted September 23, 2001 Share Posted September 23, 2001 i doubt that would work once u install the DVD decoding software (winDVD, PowerDVD), and you stick in a DVDROM, windows will ask you what you "always" want to do with a DVD....play in WMP?...or the other software, just select WMP.
