Summer Job

Recommended Posts

I am 17 and I want to get a job for summer, but don't really know where to start looking. So I though I would ask neowinians. What are some common places in the big city, where someone like me could find a job ? Not looking for anything special, just a way to earn some money. :D Thanx

Find something that interests you, maybe a supermarket or somethin'...ask your friends where they work and just look for something.

Go to a big company, and offer to go collect all their lunches ;)

Seriously, good for you for wanting to get a job over summer.

Try the electronics stores...circuit city, office depot, office max, best buy, staples, compusa, etc etc If that doesnt work, go to stores like barnes and nobles, starbucks, dunkin donuts, kroger...etc etc. if that doesnt work.....fast food restaurants....mcdonalds, burger king, etc etc :x

being 14 is hard. you have to be at least 16 for all of the above places :(. i just mow lawns (N).

i live in a small town of approximately 200 people where the only business [if its called that] is the post office.

i am 18 year's old and don't have money for a vehicle [and my parents are too stuck up to buy me one] therefore i don't have my license, which means i cannot very-well get a job in a neighbouring communites :argh:

if there was a McDonalds here i would seriously consider, may sound crazy but its money.

like ethereal said apply anywhere, whatever you can get (Y)

I mow lawns too. It sucks, but the person who's lawn I mow pays $15 for just a small front yard. My pool hires 14-16 year olds to work the grill and do stuff for the tennis people. Maybe next summer

You can get a job at Dairy Queen when you are 14 or atleast you could when I was that age.

As a few people have already mentioned, your local supermarket, the are usually always looking for the following: facers, cart pushers, and baggers. especially since they probably higher a lot of young ones such as yourself, they most likely get a lot of call offs and etc.
