Max Veteran Posted July 3, 2004 Veteran Share Posted July 3, 2004 THIS SUCKS. I'm on BT and the only thing that made it good was the unlimited bandwidth. We are upgrading soon to 1MB broadband for ?21 a month from them and I hope they really are not going to do this. This is the best bit: I cannot get Telewest/Blueyonder because I am out of the area. My only other option is NTL - and my Dad doesn't want them coming in and ripping up our garden and installing the kit.

Varsity
That sucks, but at least it's only really going to affect people who host. And if it starts in 2005, I'll at least have HL2 saftely on my HD. ;)
estranged
I hate it when broadband companies do this. Im currently with bt dialup and i get 150hours a month.. which i usually use up in 2-3 weeks. It used to be unlimited, but then they introduce limits. I want broadband but id only be happy with a company with no bandwidth limits. If i have broadband i want to be able to use it to its full capability instead of going by limits like i currently am with dial up. yes, 15gb is alot.. but its just not enough... Storm
That sucks for all you on BT's ADSL service (unless ya strapped for cash dont mind loseing ya freedom etc) I'm on Blueyonder and it has no limits and packages from 56K to 3MB at preety good price's - If any of you want to switch to another ISP I suggest you give Blueyonder a look. (all there modems are fitted with both USB and Earthnet, great for Mac users / Routers) :p i think you mean ethernet :p NTL is cable, so not everyone can get it. As for fasthosts, thats cheap

I'm beginning to get ****ed off with Telewest as I'm getting routing issues more often, AND the cable box downstairs for T.V is dying... BT is gonna introduce a limit, their prices are ****ing rediculous, Telewest is getting stupid and I have heard something bad about Bulldog from a friend (he used it, they ****** up). ****ing want to go to America, Optimum Online 10/1 internet with no limits. DerkPY
Seen the new BT Broadband adverts - ?19.99 a month. They are restricted bandwidths. Hopefully they wont restrict the more expensive on ?28 I think I pay with BT (might be slightly less ?26?). When I signed up it was Unrestricted, wouldn't this be a breach of that contract? I don't get why they are doing it. I will consider leaving them if so.
