Paul03
Anyone know what is going on with this? I am not sure if it is messing up my system it seems to be doing the normal stuff so far. I was goign to try and change the name but of course there was not an option for that. Do you think it would be ok to just make a new folder and copy everything in there over to it? configure Veteran Posted September 24, 2001 Veteran Share Posted September 24, 2001 I'm suspecting that it copied itself to a folder called "Temp" is because you install it over the old Windows, and didn't make it overwrite your C:Windows when it prompt. Try do a clean install (format, install) or, reinstall your XP, this time, choose "yes" when it ask you if it's ok to overwrite C:Windows. DON'T simply copy a file from C:Temp to a new folder, that will screw up everything.. Goodluck :D
Pow35
Follow "Configure" Advise and Please do not try to copy to a new Folder... More then Likely Window would popup all sort of warning but still if you were to be able to, you most likely would get a nice "MISSING NTLDR" on the next reboot. Simply Format or reinstall as Suggested by "Configure"
