tlogank
I was wondering, after exporting my adblock filter list from Firefox into a text file, is there anywhere that I can take that list and import it somewhere into a host file or something to make it in Internet Explorer? Sorry if that is a dumb question, it is just sometimes I am forced to use IE, and was wondering if I could use my filter list in it. Thanks for any help. CoolCatBad
You would need to go through the list and edit hosts file manually 127.0.0.1 this site.com 127.0.0.1 etc.com expressions like "ads?" will not work. WebWasher 3.3 can be set for IE exclusively and gives similar control as the AdBlock extension. http://www.webwasher.com/client/download/i...html?lang=de_EN

Scorcho
find the old freeware 1.x version of Ad Shield, not the current shareware version. it's basically the foundation to what adblock has become on Mozilla, a built-in filtering algorithm that hides the ads. it only runs with Internet Explorer as a helper application, and can easily be actived/deactivated as needed. Bearded Kirklander
My IE 2 has an ad blocker built in that you may be able to customize. http://www.myie2.com/html_en/home.htm It is only like 700k and sits right on top of IE 6 and does a great job. Worth a look at the very least. :)
