matt74441
Well I see bumping all the time, in fact I've bumped the occasional thread. As far as I know it isn't against the rules, unless you're in Neobay.

Fred Derf Veteran Posted July 5, 2004 Veteran Share Posted July 5, 2004 Some new users post a "bump" post 15 minutes after their thread debuted. Just yell at them when you see it. It may not be a rule but Neowin wouldn't be the same if we all bumped our threads.

Marshalus Veteran Posted July 6, 2004 Veteran Share Posted July 6, 2004 Bumping threads is part of standard forum activity. While a bit annoying, it has its purposes.
BugMeNot
bumping doesn't have any purpose. messageboard is not like irc, don't expect an answer 5min after posting. some people check msgboard once every 2-3days...are you saying it's ok to keep your thread on top every time it moves 2 lines down for 2-3days at a time? if you want example, here is one https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=181031
Chode
I hate it when some moron bumps an ancient thread causing it to get locked. Like the thread when STALKER leaked. It died a natural death of going back to page 20, then some n00b bumped it...I think asking where to get it, and got it locked. It makes me angry
