Widdowmaker
I got sick of talking to people on the stupid AOL'er sites and such, and forum posting, while fast, is not near-instant. Ive also read that IRC is where "it" is at. So tell me, what server/channal is "it" at?
matt11601
that's a hard question to answer.....IRC has thousands of channels on thousands of servers. But, it is all text based so there are no emoticons or anything but you can chat and exchange files. There are bit torrent channels, sports channels, xxx channels, warez channels, etc etc etc etc a popular irc client is mirc mirc.com The client allows you to connect to channels and up and running
Widdowmaker
i already got mIRC, ive had it for years, this question has bugged me for years. IRC doesent exactly have a listing of whats on it and where its at.
matt11601
yea that true......personally I use the Undernet and Efnet servers because those seem to have the most people... you can use the mIRC command /list like this: /list #channel Replace the word channel with what you're looking for.... Personally, I rarely use mIRC for chatting cuz it'll be impossible to get my friends to use mIRC when they've been using AIM for years....I just use IRC for getting files so for me, IRC is where "it" is at to get any files I want
BlinkCarRacer
I agree. I found MSN chat rather convenient until they closed it down and have had trouble finding anywhere near as interesting.
