Digital Pimp
Just spoke to a lady at BT regarding upgrading my DSL to 1mb. I was really taken back with what she said as we finished the conversation. She said "Thank you for upgrading your BT service to 1mb, you are guaranteed to have it upgraded my the close of business on Thursday. Then you can then enjoy downloading full length films and all the music you want, 10x faster." Now yeah there are legal places to download music iTunes and such, but are there any legal places to download films ?? Just came across to me as them touting their service to pick up on the very active pirated world of the internet, would you consider this to be good business practice ? Echilon
I can't remember the site, but yes there is. I replied to a post on the same subject in back page news, if they introduce limits, people will just use trading circles and move further underground
+John Teacake MVC Posted July 6, 2004 MVC Share Posted July 6, 2004 I dont know any places to download legal films. As far as what she said goes its an advertising gimic. To make it sound more attractive to noobs and such like. Do you think hat they promote illegal activitys such as downloading films when they put redicilous caps on there broadand . . . See front page. 500mb a day thats about one film a day. So you get one film and then you have exceded the download limit lol. Its like download the first half today and then half way through the film the screen flashes . . . "Sorry, Wait until tomorrow to see how this film turns out. Thanks for choosing BT and have a good day (You certainly wont be downloading) "
