thor777_au
Hi everyone, During Installation of longhorn (final release) can a feature be built in, that will allow the Operating System to update itself from the microsoft website (Critical Updates) before loading to desktop? Either by utilising basic networking settings to contact a server, or if the user has only dialup, then have the option to dial in to a microsoft server? I dont know If I am way out of my league or not, just wondering... Cheers. Edited July 9, 2004 by thor777_au

thor777_au
Cheers gameguy. I was aware of this popping up in windows Xp installation. However it never worked for me, because my current ISP refuses to give away with "Login Clients" for their Broadband service. Cheers.

incubusdaemon
i looked at the list of dynamic updates. It appears to only download updates that affect the actual install process and nothing else. It would be marvelous if it would slip SP1/2 into the install via dynamic update, but nothing doing.
