craybox
Hey ppl, Wonder if anyone can help ? I am running Windows XP Pro and have been using it for a while now with the switch user function. I installed some remote desktop software ( PC anywhere and Net support manager ) and then uninstalled them! I knew that they would disable the switch user option, but it doesn't seem to have put it back how it was. Now when i try to switch user it tells me it has been disabled by a recently installed application. how can i get it back ? I am fairly familiar with XP and have tried all the usual, checking the settings in user logon, going back to a restore point, to no avail !! thanks in advance!! jwkuipers
This may help. Goto the Control Panel->User Accounts Then under Pick A Task choose change the way users log on and off. Check off Use the Welcome Screen and use fast User Switching. (or whatever you want)

I wasn't sure what you ment user settings, since its called user accounts. Anyway not really sure whats up then. Fast user switching isn't very good anyway.
