Guest bartekpl
To think about it, you dont know who you'r buying from. it might be a 10 year old kid that just wants some money. is it worth to buy anything form there. not to insult anyone that is honest. KeR
there are strict rules before you can buy or sell....read the posts that have been made by moderators in that section.

Powerworks
I've never had a problem with NeoBay, buying or selling. Nor have I... @bartekpl - I would like to think there are good people here at neowin (yes I know there are a few people who might try to scam) but just use your best judgement. supernova_00
I've sold to over 2 dozen people and none have used fraud accounts. All were great buyers!
Rob2687
Check the buyer/seller feedback if your paranoid about the person..
oik
there was one guy, i forget who, who tried to sell an ipod mini to liquid (iirc)... turned out that the seller was just going to make cdw's fold-up ipod mini and tell him to not send the money. i've sold here, and the experience was better than ebay... that place gives me the creeps :x

oik
A+++++ yea, we got the point after the first "+". this is one of the annoying things on ebay... everybody is an A++++++++++++++++++ buyer or seller.
bdsams Veteran Posted July 13, 2004 Veteran Share Posted July 13, 2004 personally im trying to sell my radeon 9800 pro (link in neo bay) and i know its hard to do, but i would give my cell number to anyone that had a serious offer..... its all about the person your selling/buying from, good rule of thumb, the more info you can personally get from them (ie phone number, or anything) the more likely its a good offer
mopper
yea, make sure you check the person out before hand, and always be weary of the sellers who only take money orders or cash

RDX1
No place is 100% secure. It all depends, even if I was to buy from someone here that was a known member, I would still check feedback. Make sure the person has feedback that will back up his statements, whether it be eBay, Heatware or Neobay feedback. Not all people have done transactions in the past, as they may be starting out, make sure the items are really there and talk with the person before hand. FlishFun Veteran Posted July 13, 2004 Veteran Share Posted July 13, 2004 It's about as secure as one can get online. I mean, it's no different than anywhere else, really. Just remember, Neowin won't be held responsible for bad sales. All you can do is "report" them in the Buyer/Seller Feedback area. Eventually (soon, I hope) we will be able to restrict people from NeoBay if they break the rules too often.
