tonytwotimes
I can't get winXP to shutdown. After running the shutdown scripts, it simply restarts...
DrunkenMaster
You might want to consider going in the control pannel under power settings and making sure that you don't have power saving features of anysort turned on as this might cause some problems. What type of BIOS/motherboard does your system have? Check your BIOS settings and make sure that there aren't similar options enabled. Does XP go all the way through the shutdown procedure or does it just halt? If its not halting I'd probably check the BIOS and control pannel settings first. Arpit
do you have easy cd creator 5 installed?? 'coz that and xp are not compatible with each other...i was facing the same problem myself...it's actually only direct cd which creates the problem... uninstall easy cd, and then reinstall everything but direct cd...that would fix your shut down problem......fixed mine =)
