So i decided, for your warmly help:

Everyone of neowin.net bbs(registered user) can get Vspire psGmail with the price that you think it is worth!

For example: if you think you want to cost $5.00( or $3.00/$9.00, etc) to buy it support me, ok! it's your price of psGmail!

All donate please to my paypal: [email protected] (paypal account), and don't forget to send a mail to me with your regname, hardware fingerprint and your neowin bbs name.

psGmail is a small trayicon application that allows you to check your Gmail account e-mail from a normal POP mail client (such as Outlook2000/2003, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc). Unlike standard email accounts which allow users to retrieve their e-mail through a POP mail client, Google's Gmail can normally only be checked on the web now. With psGmail, you can use your favorite POP mail client to retrieve your e-mail from your Gmail account. In addition, psGmail allows you to send e-mails through Gmail's service, as if it was a normal SMTP (outgoing mail) server.and it also can send you a msn-style alerts Instantly when you have a new email on Gmail.

Features of psGmail :

1. POP3/SMTP service base on Gmail of Google

2. Instant Email Alerts with msn-style(support multiple Gmail accounts)

3. fetch special email with filter function

4. fetch the emails in special label(eg: all mail)

5. http(s) proxy support, you can use it behind of firewall

I fixed it in version 1.1.3, you can update it now, thanks

psGmail_install_1.1.3.exe

I'm running version 1.13 now but of course I can't verify it's been fixed until a newer version has been released. Glad to see you've added the ability to change or disable the sounds completely. When installing version 1.13 I still had that dialog box that was shown earlier when the old version had been uninstalled that had words mis-spelt uninstalled was spelt uninstlled, a /n still and the sentence after the /n doesn't make sense either. You have "Did you try install now?". You should have something like "Do you want to install now?" or something like that.

Correction on this, if you look at the url it says "psmail", I made a mistake forgot the "g", it was suppose to be "psgmail". I have fixed it now, sorry about that inconvenience. You can now access the site via the url below since I have set up a sub-domain:

Double clicking on tray icon crashes application. It just closes without any errors. Also, has getting more than one email at the time bug been fixed in this version? It might be related to conversations, when you have new email which is part in one conversation, then all new emails are not retreived. I am not 100% sure though.

Edit: It appears you have to uninstall previous version psGmail completely before installing new version. I kept my settings the first time and it crashed, I reinstalled it by deleting everything and it seems that doubleclicking on ttray icon problem is gone.

Ok. I guess we can stop mirroring it for now.

Another question, why does it connect to 210.207.122.36 on port 3810? Traced to Dacom Corp., Republic of Korea.

And v 1.2 still does not download all unread emails at once.

Maybe caused by the route of your internet access.

and the bug you reported i can't catched. it worked very well here. i will try to fix it later if the bug existed. thanx :)

Nope...sorry. My connection is not routed through any proxy or anything similar. And if it were, why would it be routed through Korean IP? It'd be either my ISP our school.

I use default settings - just changed not to archive my messages instead of marking them unread and SMTP is enabled. Everything else is set up by default. Can you try if it would retrieve all unread messages from an conversation? It's set to get 50 at once but it only gets one for me. Could it be the fact I use Eudora?

:( it's both at me

No I don't think so because I use Outlook 2003 and it does the same thing for me too. It gets new messages that aren't tied to a conversation but if there is a new message that is tied to another conversation then it just ignores those for some reason.

When sending an email to Gmail user, when I get reply from him/her I can see their entire reply, however, my original message is not displayed fully....it goes:

a few lines of the beginning then followed by ....snip.... (missing part) and ends with last lines of email. Shouldn't it display entire email?

And yet again psGmail is trying to connect to third party server: 211.206.12.230, port 2603 - HANARO TELECOM INC - Republic of Korea.

Correction: It was incoming connection so it seems someone tried to connect to my computer from that IP on port 2603 and my firewall (Kerio 2.1.5) alerted me it was done through psGmail.

    • The government is not the good guy either. You propose 99% of people require that the government overreach and govern their freedom of information and privacy, while ignoring the government is made up 100% of people, of which 99% are (as you described) brain dead. You can't have both. The reality is Signal is absolutely right and the government is doing what it has always done. Ignoring that we are their boss and grabbing all the power they possibly can to make sure we aren't. Your (societies) ###### parenting is not reason enough as to why I can't have a safe platform for my data/information. Thinking the government is helping is precisely what they are targeting psychologically to take suckers like you for a ride. "Think of the children" was, has, is, and will always be a mechanism of control. In the rare occasion it's actually essential the mass consensus has always been there and it doesn't become a debate.

    • Apple would rather delay Siri AI than open iOS to rival assistants in the EU by Pradeep Viswanathan At WWDC 2026, Apple today announced a revamped Siri AI experience for iOS and iPadOS users. However, this new Siri AI experience will not be available on iPhones and iPads in the European Union when iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 launch later this year. In a detailed press release, Apple blamed the Siri delay on the EU’s Digital Markets Act, highlighting that EU regulators did not accept its proposed solutions for bringing Siri AI to the region. Consequently, there is currently no timeline for Siri AI’s availability on iOS and iPadOS in the EU. Here is what EU users will be missing due to this delay: Siri AI, Apple’s next-generation assistant powered by Apple Intelligence A new dedicated Siri app for revisiting conversations Expanded Visual Intelligence features Integrated AI-assisted writing tools Siri mode in Camera on iOS Other system-level AI features Since the new Siri experience on watchOS 27 is dependent on an iOS 27 device, EU users will also miss out on Siri AI on watchOS 27. The most frustrating part is that even developers based in the EU will not be able to test or use the new Siri AI features for their apps on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and watchOS 27. In its press release, Apple mentioned that making Siri AI available in the EU would require the company to give other AI assistants (like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini) broad access to private user data and the ability to control installed apps. Essentially, the EU wants competing AI systems to be able to read and send messages, make purchases, access files, and perform actions across apps. To address these concerns, Apple proposed an intermediary system called Trusted System Agent. This system would have allowed other virtual assistants to access the same features as Siri AI in a safer way. However, the European Commission rejected Apple's proposals, and it is currently unclear why. The good news is that Apple stated it will continue working with EU regulators to bring Siri AI to the region. For now, however, iPhone and iPad users in the EU will have to wait. If platform gatekeepers such as Apple and Google reserve deep operating system capabilities only for their own AI assistants, rival services such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and others will be at a major disadvantage. Modern AI assistants are no longer simple chatbots. They require access to core OS-level capabilities such as reading on-screen context, interacting with installed apps, sending messages, creating calendar events, managing files, and completing user-approved actions across the device. If only Siri on iOS or Gemini on Android can access these capabilities, competing AI services will struggle to offer the same level of convenience, even if their underlying models are better. This is exactly what the European Union's DMA is trying to address. Apple and Google should be allowed to protect user privacy and security, but they should not be permitted to use those concerns as a blanket excuse to block rival AI assistants from getting fair access to core platform features. A secure permission-based framework could allow users to choose their preferred AI assistant without giving any company unrestricted access to personal data.
