WELCOME THE G5 HOME!

The desk needs to be cleaned up, it's currently a mess.  What can I say, it came earlier than expected and I couldn't wait!

Hey Tom, great to see another Chicagoan. :) I will definitly enjoy the G5, I'm still enjoying the (PowerBook) G4. :p Would love to have you a part of the family--When you do get your Mac, be sure to let me know. (Message me on aim: owlflyout, before then too, it'd be cool to just talk.)

On the other note of people being rich. I don't think it necessarily is a thing of being rich, I just think it's a thing of wise spending or something to that nature. I don't spend money on things I really don't need or want. Just essentials. First I purchased my Gen1 iPod, then it went to the PowerBook (from being fed up with WINPCs) and finally the G5. What else is there to get? I really want a TV Tuner, but currently, that is the least of what I need. I got what I wanted and that was a desktop computer, so that my PowerBook could return to being what it was primarily meant to be, a mobile computer. So, Fuzzy, I don't know how to answer that, but that is just my take on it. I am employeed and a full time student. From here on out, my focuses will continue to remain on putting money in reserve to help aide me in paying back my tuition loans.

Thanks dougal and everyone else for the praise. Next year, I definitly want a room that will allow my desk to face the outside. This way, I can get a view of the City while sitting at my desk. How sweet would it be to have my iSight situated at the Chicago city skyline?

What's up with people being REALLY rich nowadays...

Out of curiousity, how long did it take for your Mac mini to actually ship? And what was the estimated shipping time-length origionally. Thanks

    • It's the only reason I finally have an iPhone (for work) and enjoy using it so much that I'm tempted to move from android next time I need to replace my own device
    • So is Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, just to mention a few. What's your point? Everyone is a threat from their enemies' perspective. I'd say that Israel is only a threat to their immediate enemies like Hamas, Hezbollah and the Iranian regime, not to anyone else.
    • The government is not the good guy either. You propose 99% of people require that the government overreach and govern their freedom of information and privacy, while ignoring the government is made up 100% of people, of which 99% are (as you described) brain dead. You can't have both. The reality is Signal is absolutely right and the government is doing what it has always done. Ignoring that we are their boss and grabbing all the power they possibly can to make sure we aren't. Your (societies) ###### parenting is not reason enough as to why I can't have a safe platform for my data/information. Thinking the government is helping is precisely what they are targeting psychologically to take suckers like you for a ride. "Think of the children" was, has, is, and will always be a mechanism of control. In the rare occasion it's actually essential the mass consensus has always been there and it doesn't become a debate.
